How can I fix incorrect employee information on my 401(k) roster?

If you are seeing incorrect employee information within your 401(k) roster, it is typically because the info was entered incorrectly in your payroll account.

If you use Gusto or a Gusto Embedded payroll provider, you can update employee info by logging into your payroll account and changing the necessary fields (name, date of birth, hire date, email, termination date, etc.). Learn how to update employee information in Gusto payroll. It will take up to 24 hours for the changes to sync to your 401(k) dashboard.

Note that although name changes should be completed in payroll, the change will not occur automatically for the employee's 401(k). Participants can learn how to confirm the update with us here.

​If you have a self-service plan (for non-Gusto or non-Gusto Embedded payroll providers), you will need to update all employee information directly in your 401(k) roster.
