How do I connect my Proliant account to Guideline?

There are several steps you'll need to take in order to connect your Proliant payroll account to Guideline.

The process to set up your Proliant integration involves two main parts that are outlined in the onboarding task on your dashboard.

  1. Submit a PDF form that authorizes Proliant to provide Guideline with access to your data.

  2. Submit a PDF form that provides instructions to Proliant about how to set up your 401(k) benefit.

For the 401(k) benefit setup process, you will need to go through the setup flow, which will be available through a task in your dashboard. We’ll need to capture certain information to pre-populate a PDF. Additionally, you will need to take action within your Proliant account to provide Guideline with employee status information.

Below you can find instructions that are necessary to integrate your Guideline account to Proliant.

Proliant-Guideline integration

Step 1

  1. From your plan sponsor dashboard, start the “Connect your payroll account” task.

  2. Review the steps in the following screen that detail how to connect your Proliant account with Guideline. Click “Start setup.”

Step 2

Enter your Proliant company ID in the highlighted field. The ID can be found in the top right of your Proliant dashboard, next to your company name.

Click the purple “Continue” button.

Step 3

Provide the 401(k) earning codes in the highlighted field.

Then, click the "Continue" button to proceed to a new page where you will be asked to fill in information for the Retirement Plan Setup form.

Note: Guideline needs your 401(k) eligible earning codes so we can pre-fill the Retirement Plan Request form and Proliant can configure your plan properly.

Step 4

  1. Enter the information regarding your Proliant account in the fields provided:

    • Your legal name

    • Signature

    • Contact email

    • Contact phone

    • Job title

    • Today’s date

  2. Click the purple “Continue” button.

Step 5

After signing the API Request and Retirement Plan setup forms, Guideline will generate the forms for you to send to Proliant. Please complete the following steps:

  1. Download the forms (forms will come as a single packet)

  2. Copy the drafted email

  3. Email forms to your Proliant representative. Confirm the forms have been sent by checking the box labeled “Yes, I’ve emailed the signed forms to my Proliant account rep.”

Once the forms are sent, Guideline must wait on Proliant to take action on their end to finalize the integration.

Note: The task in your Guideline dashboard will show “Processing” as the status instead of “Start” until Proliant finalizes the payroll integration.

The task in your plan sponsor dashboard will show as “Complete” with a green check mark once the payroll connection is complete. Your Proliant representative should also confirm with you directly when they’ve finalized the integration on their end.
