How to make changes to your Guideline IRA portfolio

Updated over a week ago

If you’d like to make adjustments to your Guideline IRA portfolio, you can do so by completing the following steps:

  1. Log into your Guideline dashboard.

  2. Navigate to Portfolio in the main navigation. If you have more than one account, select the one where you’d like to make changes.

  3. Click on the “Change portfolio” button.

  4. Select how you’d like to build your portfolio.

    • See Guideline’s portfolio recommendation: If you select this option, you’ll be asked a series of questions regarding your estimated retirement age, risk tolerance, and expectations. Based on your answers, Guideline will recommend a managed portfolio that suits your needs.

    • View all portfolios: This option will allow you to toggle between all the managed portfolios offered by Guideline. You can review the various portfolios and a description of each by clicking on the “Less Risky” or “More Risky” buttons.

    • Build a custom portfolio: This option will allow you to select each individual investment and allocation of your portfolio.

  5. After selecting your portfolio option, go through any additional prompts. Then, select the button to save your changes.
