How do I make changes to my Guideline 401(k) portfolio?

You can make changes to your Guideline 401(k) investments at any time. Here's how.

If you’d like to make adjustments to your Guideline 401(k) portfolio, you can do so by completing the following steps:

  1. Log into your Guideline dashboard.

  2. Navigate to the Portfolio tab in the main navigation.

  3. Click on the “Change Portfolio” button.

  4. Select how you’d like to build your portfolio.

  • See Guideline’s Portfolio Recommendations: If you select this option, you’ll be asked a series of questions regarding your current age, estimated retirement age, and risk tolerance. Based on your answers, Guideline will recommend a portfolio that suits your needs.

  • View All Portfolios: This option will allow you to toggle between all the managed portfolios offered by Guideline. You can review the various portfolios and a description of each by clicking on the “Less Risky” and “More Risky” buttons.

  • Build a Custom Portfolio: This option will allow you to select each individual investment and allocation of your portfolio.

After selecting your portfolio option, go through any additional prompts. Then, select the button to save your changes.
